About Us

Thanks to the last Ice Age thousands of years ago, our pit provides some of the best ground in the area for gravel production. Many in the industry have to manually blend sand and stone to try to create the mixture we have naturally occurring at our pit on Old New Ipswich Road in Rindge, NH.

"Quality of bank gravel depends on the original stone, the proportions of sizes, and the angularity of the particles. Fines’ in bank gravel act as a cement or binder, holding it together when dry. Gravel without binder becomes too loose for road or driveway use in hot dry weather. Excessive amounts of fines can cause gravel to become sloppy after repeated freezing and thawing when wet. Softening is made more likely by a high proportion of fine sand in the mixture." *

Our glacial bank gravel provides the necessary angular stones and fines required to create a first class aggregate product.
